Each Thanksgiving, friends and employees of LivePerson, Inc. strive to give families in need something to be truly thankful for. In 2001 we started FeedingNYC, a program to hand-deliver an entire Thanksgiving dinner to 40 families in need. This year, we'll deliver to 2250.
Robert LoCascio and the Feeding NYC volunteers talk to Linda Church from WPIX Morning News.
Who do we help? Food is delivered to families who are in partnership with Women in Need, the Jewish Federation, Catholic Charities, and City Harvest.
As the number of families we seek to help increases, we turn to the community to help us meet our goal. We are actively soliciting the help of corporations, and to great success. This year, FlatRate Moving will provide trucks and drivers to help our volunteers reach the families in need.
But we still need financial support. A donation of just $175 is enough to feed five entire families this Thanksgiving. We also seek volunteers to help assemble and deliver meals the week preceding Thanksgiving.
Our mission is simple: to connect people who - like you - want to help our neighbors in need.
Donate money or volunteer to assemble and deliver food. You'll receive a confirmation email containing location and times. Packages will be delivered Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
We express our sincere appreciation for shining like a star, inspiring others, and making a difference in the lives of the families we serve. The "Suzanne Pincus Commit to WIN Award" was presented to Feeding NYC in 2004. Each year it is given to a specific organization that provides the highest level of dedication and service to WIN Women in Need.
