Can I volunteer as an individual or a company?

You can volunteer as an individual or organize a group of your friends, family or co-workers. Click here to register.

How can I help?

Just click here to donate money, or register to volunteer to assemble and deliver meals. You will receive a confirmation email with a time and place for packing and delivering meals.

Where is FeedingNYC taking place this year?

Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers has generously donated the use of meeting space for this year's event.

When will assembly and delivery take place?

All assembly and delivery will take place on Tuesday, November 24, 2009.

I cannot take time off from work during the day. Can I still help?

Unfortunately, all deliveries will be completed by late afternoon; we encourage you to donate if you cannot volunteer during the day.

How much does it cost to feed one family?

A complete Thanksgiving dinner, including a 12-lb. turkey, trimmings and desert, costs $35.

What is the minimum or maximum amount of families that I can help feed?

Each volunteer usually delivers meals to 20 different families, and each team delivers to more than 250 families. We ask that you sponsor a minimum of five families.

How much time would I have to donate?

You are welcome to stay for the entire day or whatever time your schedule allows. Packing will begin at 5:00AM and end at approximately 10:00AM. Trucks will be loaded shortly thereafter and depart Chelsea Piers at Noon.

How did you find the families?

Some of the organizations that connect us with families are Women in Need, Catholic Charities, the Jewish Federation of New York, Catholic Charities, Center Against Domestic Violence, the Domestic Violence Police Program and City Harvest.

What neighborhoods does FeedingNYC deliver to?

We make deliveries to all five New York City boroughs.

What is LivePerson?

LivePerson, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPSN) is a publicly traded corporation located in New York City. The employees and friends of LivePerson started FeedingNYC is 2001 in conjunction with Women in Need. That first year, they fed 40 families at the Jennie A. Clarke Residence in Harlem. In 2005, we fed 1,200 families.
