FeedingNY is dedicated to fighting food insecurity by providing meals, dignity, and hope to New York families living in shelters each Thanksgiving. With the support of corporate partners, donors, and volunteers, we work to ensure that no one is left behind during the holiday season.
Our mission is rooted in compassion, service, and the belief that access to nutritional food is a basic human right and that every family deserves to feel supported and valued.
ABOUT US
FeedingNY, an initiative in partnership with GYEL Endeavors, began with a simple act of service. Founded by Rob LoCascio in 2001 with a vision to bring comfort and dignity to those facing hardships in New York City. What began with 50 turkeys being hand delivered to families in need has since grown into a powerful community movement delivering over 145,000 Thanksgiving meals throughout the 5 boroughs of New York and on Long Island.
Each year, our impact continues to grow. In 2024, we expanded to Long Island, supporting families in shelters and those facing food insecurity. Our network of over 800 volunteers and corporate partners unite to help raise funds, pack & deliver meals and share our mission throughout the community.
The food included in every Thanksgiving meal box costs us $50 to purchase and represents far more than food. It is care, dignity, and a reminder that no family is forgotten during the holiday season.
